Psychogenic Conditions


Stephanie Howlett, Specialist Psychotherapy Manager at the Department of Neurology, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield has over the last 8 years developed an emotional processing therapy group programme for patients with psychogenic non-epileptic seizures aimed at helping them develop more effective interpersonal and emotional processing patterns. Research projects with Professor Markus Reuber, Barbora Novakova and Isobel Williams at the Academic Neurology Unit, University of Sheffield using the Emotional Processing Scale include evaluating the effectiveness of Stephanie’s Emotional Processing Therapy Programme and explorations of emotions in PNES using the Emotional Processing Scale .
